Job Description:

JPI is seeking a Sr Process Improvement Consultant with more than 10 years of experience in business process development and business re-engineering. This position will work directly with US Coast Guard (USCG) clients to support and assist in government business practices, business re-engineering, business process development, business metrics development, and management-related issues to support a multi-year transformation project.​

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of four process improvement consultants, including providing day-to-day guidance and taskings to develop process maps and guides to document processes, and CSFs and KPIs to measure process adoption and related improvements
  • Develop and implement BPM, BPR and/or Lean Six Sigma procedures for process development, monitoring, and improvement
  • Identify and benchmark against related DHS and DoD processes to develop USCG tailored versions
  • Review and certify completion of improvement projects                 
  • Identify strategies for automating and implementing efficient work management processes              
  • Map complex business processes and communicating solutions to the client
  • Lead, facilitate, and attend client meetings and exercises, include process mapping events
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and provide recommendations for business management improvements
  • Coordinate with internal communications and training teams to ensure adoption of new processes
  • Assist Account Manager with identifying and capturing new business development opportunities for Process Improvement work across the USCG, and other federal agencies​

Requirements:

  • Hands on experience leading a team of process improvement consultants, including conducting performance reviews
  • Experience supporting a large-scale transformation or organizational change project that featured the development and implementation of new processes
  • Certification in BPM, BPR or Six Sigma certification from an appropriate certifying authority required; Six Sigma business certification is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in business, management or a related field
  • Management consulting experience required
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
