Project Coordinator

Position Description:

JPI is seeking a Project Coordinator with three years professional experience and three years direct IT project management experience. This position will be working with the US Coast Guard clients to ensure enterprise IT projects are delivered on time and within budget.


  • Manage project schedules detailing the status of Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) in support of maintenance and logistics artifacts development for C4ISR systems
  • Track and reconcile parallel schedules using Coast Guard enterprise tools to include: MS Project 2010 and Enterprise Project Management (SharePoint)
  • Attend and facilitate project status / coordination meetings to drive project execution     
  • Coordinate with C4IT organizations to disseminate upcoming task assignments and to provide task status
  • Update project dashboards in MS SharePoint 
  • Identify and document project issues, risks, and lesson learned    
  • Map and improve complex business processes and communicating processes solutions to the client
  • Create project status briefings and reports 
  • Develop project artifacts including agendas, minutes, and correspondence
  • Additional activities include participating in supporting System Support Agents (SSAs) in executing day-to-day project management activities


  • Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, Project Management, or a related field experience. Relevant Master's degree / MBA is a plus
  • Management consulting experience required, with at least three years of experience in a professional environment
  • Direct experience with MS Project 2010 and MS SharePoint
  • Direct experience developing project management methodologies (processes, best practices, tools, and templates) 
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills 
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work effectively independently and in team settings to include close collaboration with program managers 
  • Proven ability to support multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven process 
  • Experience in building and managing client relationships
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Visio
  • Exposure to Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) principles preferred 
  • PMP certification preferred
  • DoD or US Coast Guard C4ISR logistics experience desired
  • Clearance: Public Trust or above
