Job Description:

JPI has an immediate opening for an Analyst or Senior Analyst with 1+ years’ management consulting experience, and 1-3 years data analytics experience. This position supports the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in the development and application of the program’s Activity Based Cost model and payment forecasting, to include data analysis and the development of recommendations in the support of the Federal client mission.

Responsibilities

Financial Analysis, Fee Modeling, and Reporting (90%)

  • Work with Federal clients to develop:
    • Financial reports and dashboards
    • Activity based cost (ABC) models
    • Payment forecasting
    • Future work initiatives and anticipated work surges
  • Develop a detailed understanding of major client processes including: process steps, timing, staffing requirements to produce outcomes / outputs, and identification of backlogs / delays
  • Collect, scrub, analyze, and report budget data for client programs by branch and section
  • Experience writing MS Excel macros and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) code to build and maintain dashboards to display client workforce data
  • Experience using Tableau to develop dashboards and reports
  • Develop briefing materials to present results to Federal client leadership
  • Provide support to automate data collection and reporting
  • Develop and maintain project artifacts including agendas, minutes, project plans, and correspondence
  • Facilitate client meetings, as needed
  • Track all action items, client requirements, deliverables, and project plans throughout the project lifecycle

Project Management (5%)

  • Contributes to production of contractual deliverables
  • Maintains strong relationships with the federal program manager and team members

Account Management (5%)

  • Support account planning and execution to include business development and proposal activities
  • Support client meetings and discussions on JPI capabilities and experience

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree, preferably in finance, business, statistics, or related field
  • Minimum of one year of experience in management consulting preferred
  • Knowledge of Federal programs; DHS and/or immigration-related programs preferred
  • Ability to review, synthesize, and prepare highly technical, sensitive, and complex documents, briefing materials, management directives and correspondence
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive data analysis
  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience with VBA, MS Access, and Microsoft Office required
  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience developing reports and dashboards in Tableau required
  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience using SharePoint desired
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience building ABC models
  • Experience with CostPerform
